Dear X,  I have received your letter. I am very glad to know that you are all well. The result of our Annul Examination is just out. You will be very glad to know that I have stood first in order of merit.  The new session will begin at the second week of January. We are given the new book list. Now I shall have to buy new books and other necessary materials, as khata, pencil. It will cost me 500/- Taka. So, please send me the money to meet the expenses of my books and necessary materials. With best regards to you and mother and love to my younger brother and sisters. I am well. Your loving son ‘X’
